A Beautiful Summer Coral | Revlon Mischievious

Revlon Mischievious Review and Swatches
Revlon Mischievious Review and Swatches
Summer is the time of year I reach for bolder and brighter shades and this gorgeous yet completely affordable one is one you'll want to add to your lipstick stash. If any of you went to the blogger meet up in January arranged by the lovely Lauren then you'll most likely have received one of these in your goodie bag, so I'd just like to say a huge thank you to Revlon for being so generous! I normally opt for pinks and nudes so I was really happy that I got the shade Mischievious as it's the perfect Summer coral for your smackers!

I really like the packaging of this, the outside is the same colour as the actual lipstick so it's good when choosing your colour and is also really handy when your rummaging through your mountain of lippys as it's easy to find. It's very similar to the chubby sticks so it's super easy to apply and I LOVE that this is retractable so there isn't any need for sharpening; hygienic and you don't need to buy another product to use this - love it! This has a slight mint fragrance to it, which weirdly is quite nice as I've never had a lipstick smell like this before. If you aren't a lover of mint scents, it isn't overpowering at all and it doesn't last that long either so don't be put off by this. I wouldn't say this was the most pigmented lipstick I have, it starts off as a light peach which is fab if you want something light for everyday and is build able to the gorgeous bright orange above if you want something a little more bold and 'out there' - I would say this is the best lipstick for work and after work drinks as you can just layer it up and it just adds that little something extra! This is a matte formula so I love it as it doesn't budge, a couple of applications is all that is needed throughout the whole day and even if you didn't want to apply anymore you're left with a beautiful light peach lip stain. Even though this is matte it feels super buttery and creamy when applying drying to a more drier texture afterwards. You do need to apply a lip balm beforehand just so this doesn't sit in the cracks of your lips or cling to any dry patches but that's a given when you know you're working with a matte product.

I really love this lipstick, for £7.99 I think this is a complete bargain as it feels much more expensive when applying and wearing and is so beautiful on. I can't wait to pick up the other colours for summer!
Have you tried any of these balms from Revlon before? What are your thoughts?
