Mini Lush Splurge

Lush Haul September 2014
Good afternoon lovelies! I hope you're having a good weekend. I feel like I haven't had a splurge in Lush for what seems like forever, Easter to be exact see my mini haul HERE, so when I was in Bath a week or 2 ago, as I don't have a store where I live, I decided to have a mooch. Now I know all Lush staff are really nice and friendly, but the girl I met was SO lovely, attentive and went the extra mile when it came to customer service so I just thought I'd mention that as people are always quick to moan yet never like to praise do they? Here are the beautiful goodies I picked up..
Lush Creamy Candy Bubble Bar
Creamy Candy Bubble Bar | £2.60
I LOVE bubble bars, they smell amazing, feel amazing, give you the most bubbles in the land, last ages and are so cheap! I really like the fact that you can break this off into little chunks each time you use it so it lasts you at least 4 baths. Creamy Candy is pink with a cute embedded pastel blue flower so of course I had to buy it. As well as the fact that the smell of this is freaaaaking delicious. It has a sweet, candy floss fragrance with a blend of almond and cocoa butter which, in my opinion, is the perfect recipe for beautifully soft, moisturised and silky skin. I can't wait to use this!
Lush Dragon's Egg Bath Bomb
Dragon's Egg Bath Bomb | £3.25
I have found my favourite Lush product. Oh my god this is beautiful and you need to go get one! I used this last night, along with the bubble bar below, and is easily the best bath I've ever had. As it's white in colour you're more inclined to think that your bath isn't going to contain any colour but boy oh boy you couldn't be more wrong. As soon as it hits the water it bubbles and froths away releasing bursts of orange and glitter in its path resulting in a gorgeous golden tub fit for a queen. The fragrance of this bath bomb is utterly heavenly. A blend of lemon oil, bergamot oil, jasmine and popping candy, it's even more delicious than it sounds. It leaves you, and the whole room (My Dad even commented that the bathroom smelt like a 'Tarts Parlour' afterward ha), smelling gorgeous and your skin as soft as a babies bum!
Lush Sunnyside Bubble Bar
Sunnyside Bubble Bar | £3.75
I was recommended by the sales assistant in Lush that this and the Dragon's Egg bath bomb is the perfect duo. And it really is. I don't think I've ever had a bath feel so velvety and left it feeling super soft and moisturised. If you're like me and love anything glittery then you'll be in your element with this bubble bar. Even though it is smothered in glitter don't be put off, you won't emerge from your soak resembling a glitter ball just a hint of glitter is left on your skin which is great for a night out. This has a citrusy fragrance to it which isn't too over-powering and it really compliments Dragon's Egg so I'm so happy I took the advice and brought the two together as they really are wonderful!

The Christmas goodies are out soon, who's excited?! I can't wait! I'm going to have a huge spend up (sorry bank balance) as soon as I can get my mitts on them so keep your eyes peeled for a Christmas Edition Lush haul!

A Lipstick I've Not Put Down ALL Summer

Good morning sweets! How quick is this week going?! Tomorrow is Friday woop woop! Seeing as it's officially Autumn *sigh* I thought I'd share with you a lipstick I haven't put down all Summer and has been a firm favourite of mine. Summer calls for bold and bright lipsticks and I think I've found one of the brightest - L'Oreal Colour Riche in 371 Pink Passion. This is my first L'Oreal lipstick and I luuuurve it.

The packaging of this lippy comes in a gorgeous golden tube, which is quite classy for a high street lipstick. There is a sticker in the colour of the lipstick at the bottom of the tube informing you of the shade, so if you do have multiple L'Oreal Colour Riche lipsticks you won't get muddled easily. It also has a click in feature, which can be a little annoying if you're in a rush as you have to get it in the right place to close, however this ensures you that it's secure in place.

In the bullet it's a bright, neon coral however when applied/swatched it's a much softer, wearable pinky coral yet it's still daring. I'd say 'Peach Passion' would be more appropriate than 'Pink'. This lipstick is extremely transitional from day to night. For a more wearable day time look all you need to do is apply using a light hand, as it is so pigmented, for a light lip stain which still gives off a lot of colour. For a more evening, and bolder, look apply a couple more times over your lips and you have a bright coral which can also look on the verge of being a red lip - similar to how it looks in the bullet. The staying power is amazing as if you do build it up, even after a good few hours you still have the majority of it on which is perfect for me for work as I don't often get the chance to even have a lunch break at work let alone apply more lippy! If you leave this even longer you would eventually have a light lipstain, similar as if you were to apply this lightly. I've also tested this lipstick with food and drink and it doesn't transfer and stays on your smackers. I've looked through many swatches of this lipstick by different bloggers and its look SO different on each person. So what it looks like on me, most probably won't look the same on you. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing?! This is recommended for brunettes, which I didn't realise until after I brought it, however I've proved L'Oreal wrong and have pulled it off for the blondes! I often get asked what shade of lipstick I'm wearing and a fair few compliments. One to quote from my best friend 'How do you look so glam when you feel so ill?!' From our crazy weekend in London when I very nearly broke my nose and my reply was 'It's the lipstick' So she went and brought it!

The formula of this lipstick is fairly matte with a velvet-like texture when applying. As you can already tell I've found that the staying power is fab as is the pigmentation, which are most important and essential when it comes to lipstick. Only downside to this lipstick is the smell. It's quite overpowering when you apply, even sniffing from the tube it's still quite strong. I wouldn't say it was a nice fruity smell like you can find among other scented lipsticks, it's more of a 'I'm-not-going-to-breath kinda smell. Ha I'm so great at describing smells aren't I?! Other than that, this lipstick easily receives top marks!

I brought this lippy in Superdrug, on 3 for 2 obvs, for £6.99. Next time I'm in Superdrug or Boots I'm definitely going to have a mooch and see if I can find some gorgeous Autumn shades that I can love as much as this.

Until next year my love!

Olympia Beauty Show Goodies

Olympia Beauty Haul 2014 | Sienna X, IBD, NYX
Alright me darlings. Yesterday I attended Olympia Beauty Show in London with one of my best friends. I remember the first time I visited this show, I was 16, loved it and have visited every year since. (Although I do have to say you don't get half as much bargains and freebies as you once did!) As always it was crazily busy with hundreds of stalls ,which can get a little bit overwhelming, full of beauty goodies - a beauty bloggers heaven! Here are a few things I picked up while I was there.
Olympia Beauty Haul 2014 | Sienna X, IBD, NYX
Olympia Beauty Haul 2014 | Sienna X, IBD, NYX
I'll start with my favourite beauty buys and the one stand I was most excited for - NYX. I've never tried any of the NYX products before yet I've seen many beauty gurus use them as well as reading fab reviews. It was a free-for-all so I grabbed the few things I wanted most and legged it. I brought 2 lippys, 1 lipgloss and a jumbo eye pencil (which was in my wishlist HERE) The two lipsticks I brought were Strawberry Milk which is a gorgeous pinky nude, although in the swatch above it doesn't do this any justice it looks like quite a tacky pink which it isn't. I'm putting this down to me fake tanning so it looks different to what it does on my lips. Again my fake tan looks like snake skin, it always looks like this when I take swatches, it doesn't in real life I promise! (I also just want to say that this isn't Sienna X it's a cheapy I was testing out) I also brought Pink Lyric which is a real in your face bright pink. I wore this on my lips today and the durability, formula and pigmentation is uh-may-zing. I think I may have found a new HG lip product here girls...

The lipgloss I brought doesn't actually have a name on the label all it says is 'XLC10' so I'm guessing this is what it's called? This wasn't my first choice of gloss, the first one I chose was a lighter nude which was out of stock so I picked this up instead. I'm really glad I chose this one as its beauuuuutiful! The formula is creamy, buttery and long-lasting, as is the pigmentation which is perfect. If I could have brought the lipgloss I originally wanted, I think it would have been a bit to pale and nobody likes concealer lips now do they?! And of couse, I brought their Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk as it's something I've wanted for a little while now. I'll use this on my eyelids before I apply my eyeshadow for the most enhanced colour pay off. Which I done this morning and it definitely lives up to the hype! Each lipstick was £3.00, the lipgloss was £5.50 and the eye pencil was £4.00 - super bargainous. I can't wait to add more to my collecton!
Olympia Beauty Haul 2014 | Sienna X, IBD, NYX
Starting with the top row L-R
Pan-duh, Sanskrit, Dragon Fruit, Happily Brighter After
The Great Wall, Jade Dynasty, Thistle My Whistle, Perfectly Paisley, I Mod You

I got all these PLUS 5 gel polishes for...wait for it......£9.00! If you aren't familiar with I.B.D the colour range, formula and durability is fantastic. We use them in the salon that I work at and I have to say it's much, much better than other brands I've worked with in the past. (Jessica & Shellac to name two) I know the colours I chose aren't everyones cup of tea but at such a great price tag how can you not put them in your shopping basket? I really like Perfectly Paisley and I Mod You as they are the perfect colours for Autumn and Winter. Whilst I was in the queue, a lady who worked for I.B.D came over to me and asked if she could ask me a few questions so of course I said yes, next thing I knew a camera man and microphone was at the ready and I was being interviewed. I totally chickened out and couldn't do it, I felt like such an idiot afterwards! Haha, I don't think I'd ever be good enough for YouTube!
Olympia Beauty Haul 2014 | Sienna X, IBD, NYX
As you may know I'm a big lover of fake tan and Sienna X is my fave so yes, 3 bottles of the stuff really is necessary. Pha! I know we're going into the Winter months and it says dark on the bottle but Sienna X gives a natural, gorgeous sun-kissed look to your skin that looks real and not fake. Picture Diary | My Trip To Bath

Hello sweethearts I hope you've had a fab weekend. I went back to work on Tuesday after 9 days off and to say I was dreading it is an understatement. Don't get me wrong I love my job but it's never nice to go back to the grind after having such a wonderful time off is it? Bath is a place I've always loved and wanted to visit. Sounds daft doesn't it, how can you love somewhere you've never been? But I was right. (As always, although I'm sure Matt will tell you different haha) It was a very last minute decision, on the Sunday evening we decided to go the following morning, the hotel was booked and that was that! We stayed in the Abbey Hotel which was gorgeous and the location could not have been more perfect so I highly recommend if any of you are thinking of planning a visit and are unsure where to stay. I was very much a tourist while I was here and couldn't stop snapping photos. Do you ever find that when you take so many photos and you look through them after you're like 'Oh was 15 photos of the same scene really necessary? Probably not' haha but it was very hard to narrow down to a select few without this post being too picture heavy! Visiting the Roman Baths and The Circus is a must and there are so many gorgeous boutique shops here so of course my bank balance took a beating. I've fallen in love with Bath and its cobbled streets - I can't wait until my next visit!

My Summer Evening Skincare Routine

Hello darlings I hope you've had a fab week. Thank god it's the weekend, have you been looking forward to it? I certainly have, I'm going to the Beauty Show at Olympia tomorrow and I can't freaking wait. Beauty products at trade prices? Yes please! Not too long ago I posted my current morning routine (HERE) so I thought it was only right that I followed it up and posted my evening routine too!

I've been using this for around 6 months now and I can definitely notice a difference within my lashes. Firstly let me say that this removes all mascara, including waterproof, easily and quickly as well as any stubborn lipstick. 100x quicker than make up wipes I can guarantee you ladies! It conditions and hydrates your eyelashes, which is why I love this product so much. My lashes don't look dry and clumpy when mascara is applied and they rarely break off which is every girls nightmare right?!

This is amazing at removing any heavy make up, including mascara, due to it's deep cleansing properties. It's hard to find a cleanser which does both with ease so this is a great buy if you want to kill two birds with one stone! (I can't stand that expression) The consistency of this is fairly thick so this is why I use the eye cleanser above as I prefer a lotion on my eyes. This leaves your skin feeling sooo soft afterwards and I've really noticed a big improvement in any blemishes and redness since buying this back in May.

I've spoke about this toner many times as it has done absolute wonders for my skin. Not too long ago my skin went a little bit crazy, it had similar symptoms to Eczema but it wasn't Eczema if that makes sense?! Anyhoo there were quite a few things I couldn't use on my skin anymore as it caused some irritation, so I picked this up as a duo at the beginning of the year (I'm still not even half way through!) and this, alongside a couple of other things, have helped my skin 'return' to its normal state. Yay! This really does smell SO scrummy, as do all the other Elemis toners. I really do enjoy this part of my evening routine!

I like to use this morning and night underneath my eye cream as due to the light weight consistency it gets absorbed much quicker and easier resulting in deeper penetration. The eye cream below does wonders so I've not seen too much of a difference but it must be doing something beneficial!

Elemis Advanced Brightening Even Tone Serum* | £59.00
So I've heard this is supposed to be the new and improved version of Elemis Visible Brilliance which I loved. I love this more. This has helped even out my skin tone, so much so that I'd feel confident to go out without make up. And for me that's a bold statement. It's supposed to be really good for helping with pigmentation and acne scarring so any of you who have this, this may be an ideal product for you!

An oldie but a goldie for me! Have any of you ever had an ESPA facial? If not you must! In my first beauty job, the spa I worked at brought ESPA on board so all of the therapists had 2 weeks of training in treatments and products. I FELL IN LOVE ESPA. The products, science, treatments and trainers are wonderful. During one part of the facial, I'm pretty sure it's the hour long facial however that may have changed as I did work for them a good few years ago now, there is a special mirror used. As a therapist looking through you can detect certain things such as dehydration, congestion etc as different colours show through representing each thing. To cut a long story short when I had my facial, I was told my eye area was really dehydrated, so I purchased this and it's been a holy grail of mine ever since. It's been scientifically proven to work around your eye contour for 24 hours, replenish and to minimise fine lines and any puffiness. Working where I was at the time, I always checked to see whether it lived up to its bold statements and it really does, the colour representing dehydration started to decrease massively! I really notice a difference when I don't use this product as the next day my concealer creases like there's no tomorrow! I'd highly recommend you to try this eye cream as it lasts you forever and is a real luxury product.

I brought this for the same reason I got the toner and it's done the job perfectly! Do you ever find that your cheeks feel really tight due to the dryness? I used to have that all the time but since using this I don't get that anymore. I've heard that apparently Elemis are discounting this which I hope isn't true!

Elemis Lip Revive | £16.00
I apply this last and just before I go to bed as it really hydrates my lips making it the perfect base for my lipstick in the morning.

Do you use any of these products?
What's your skincare routine?

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade Blonde

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade Blonde Review
Those of you who are lovers, and also strugglers, of eyebrows will want to read this post..

As I've mentioned plenty of times before my brows and I have a very much love hate relationship due to over-plucking them when I was younger, plus being blonde I've always struggled to find a product which doesn't make them look ridicoulsy dark and achieve the dreaded scouse brow. I've hunted high and low for a product that gives a more defined, precise look to my sparse, uneven brows that I see in almost every picture of a beautiful make up look posted on many social networking sites, and I feel like there are a lot of you out there who are in this brow struggle with me. I'm always a little 'meh' when it comes down to eyebrow products, they rarely excite me as nothing I've found (until now) could thicken and shape my brows without looking like I've drawn them on with a sharpie, therefore I've always had an 'that will do' attitude. Girls, this is going to completely change our brow game.

Anastasia Beverly Hills is the Queen of Brows and her reputation is phenomenal, so when I decided to purchase a new eyebrow product it went without question that I was going to her website. Having used eyebrow powders previously I chose the Dipbrow Pomade over the Brow Powder Duo and it is described as - Creamy, waterproof brow color ideal for defining and sculpting precise, smudge-free brows. Creamy? Imagine a gel liner consistency but much more buttery and velvety. Waterproof and smudge-free? I did kind of roll my eyes when I read this and thought 'pha whatever' But it really is. Once you've got this on your brows, nothing is getting those bad boys off until you remove all your make up. I'm serious. And as for defining and sculpting? Well it's literally transformed my whole face with perfect arches and tails giving me the gorgeous eyebrows I've always wanted.

I love the packaging. It's a screw top, sturdy jar (like a gel liner) that won't break easily. I'll admit that when it comes to make up I'm not the most careful and normally chuck everything in my make up bag without a second thought so I love that this won't break the product easily or leak - which is perfect for me. It has the sophisticated black and gold design with Anastasia's logo on top of the lid which I think is beautiful and classy.

The selection is fab consisting of 8 different shades ranging from Auburn to Ebony. Each are extremely pigmented while still having the perfect amount of ashiness for a more realistic brow shade, which again as a blonde I've struggled to achieve and they always end up looking gingery. The pigmentation is amazing. I can't believe how pigmented it is! I did get a bit product happy when I first used this so remembering that a little goes a very long way and a light hand is necessary when applying is key. You may need a little practise at first but it is easy to get the hang of. The amount you get for your money, £15, is unreal, I'm sure that this little pot of eyebrow happiness will easily last me a year.

I can't even begin to explain how glad I am that I brought this. Without a doubt this lives up to the hype and is a staple in any eyebrow lovers kit! 1000% recommend and I'm NEVER happy with eyebrow products! Easily a HG item for me.

You can buy it HERE from Beauty Bay for £15.00 with free delivery - woo!

Hello darlings I hope you've had a fab weekend! The other evening I was going out for dinner and drinks with friends and this is how I wore my make up (because this kinda stuff is important to know right?! Ha!) I haven't done many of these kind of posts as whenever  I think my make up looks half camera worthy as soon as I take the photo it picks up on every little imperfection making me feel very self-conscious. These photos haven't picked up my contour, blush and highlight too well due to the lighting which is pretty annoying when that happens! Anyway enough of me rambling on, I've listed all the products below, the majority of them are staple everyday products however I like to mix it up a bit by trying out different eye make up looks with my UD Naked 2 palette.
