Top Ten Tag

I've been tagged by the lovely Jess from Pretty Chit Chat (one of my favourite blogs to read so do make sure you go and check her out) to do this tag she has created. When I saw this I was so excited to do it as like Jess has said it can be very helpful to others who are umming and ahhing over whether to purchase a certain product and are looking for some reviews. It's also nice to get to know each others staple and favourite make up products too!

1. Foundation

L'Oreal True Match Foundation is the winner! Considering this is not a high end make up brand the shade selection is fantastic. They have a variety of cool, warm and neutral tones as well as a wide range of colours from extremely pale to rather dark which is amazing as it provides a foundation for everyone and their skin tone as well as having the amazing £9.99 price tag. I have the shade N2 for when I'm having a pale day and W4 for when I've had a spray tan. The coverage is definitely buildable whilst still letting your skin actually look like skin, which can be a huge downfall for most foundations as they can sometimes look a little on the cakey side. I mix my L'Oreal Lumi Magique Primer in with this for a gorgeous dewy look.

2. Powder

I never actually used a face powder up until a couple of months ago *hides face behind hands* when I thought to myself actually I should invest unless I fancied resembling a greaseball throughout the Summer so I purchased Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transculent in my High Street Haul HERE. I like this powder, I wouldn't say I love it but it does the job nicely. I mainly use this to set my concealer, to be honest the concealer I use doesn't really need setting as it rarely creases however I have noticed that it is definitely much longer lasting. I will also occasionally use this along my t-zone if I feel I need it. Please do excuse the black blobs in the photo above, I use this as a surface for some eyelash glue ha!

3. Concealer

My holy grail of all products Mac Pro Longwear Concealer in NC20. The best thing about this concealer is the superb coverage, it is also an eyeshadow primer and that it does not crease - lets just have a little round of applause to Mac! I use this to conceal any redness/blemishes I may have as well as to highlight my under eye area. It's super long lasting and I can't see myself switching to another product anytime soon, or ever for that matter. If you fancy reading a more full, indepth review then click right HERE

4. Blush

My favourite blush by far is Nars Orgasm, quite possibly the best blush in existence. It flatters all skin tones as it is a beautiful golden peach shade with a hint of shimmer which is especially perfect for the summer months. This is subtle enough for day time wear as well as looking beautiful in the evening. If you're looking for a new blush or have been debating on whether to get this for a while I assure you that you won't regret purchasing this little beauty.

5. Bronzer

Oh well it has to Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Golden Light doesn't it?! I love how this is a really subtle matte colour with no shimmer that's perfect for both contouring and bronzing. This never goes on uneven or looks muddy as it's super easy to blend and I also use this as an eyeshadow for the crease of my eye too. To see my full in depth review please click HERE

6. Highlighter

The queen of all the highlighters the Mary Lou Manizer. I love this product, the packaging is gorgeous and girly and inside is just as beautiful being a golden, champagne colour. I use this to highlight my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, cupids bow and my brow bone. I also use this as an eyeshadow along with my Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder. I have raved about this product HERE

7. Mascara

It's no secret that I love ultra long and thick lashes. I love using Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal mascara for my upper lashes as they make them super full and fluttery without looking like spiders legs (review HERE) and for my bottom lashes I use L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic Mascara as I find it really separates my lashes much better than any other mascara I've used due to the plastic comb whilst making sure they're coated from root to tip without any clumpiness. (Review HERE)

8. Eye Shadow

It's always going to be the Naked 2 palette - I finally have it! Matt brought this for me as an Easter present and a day hasn't passed where I haven't used this beautiful array of eyeshadow colours. I love that there is so much variety of colours to choose from of which you can create so many different eye make up looks! I love using more of the subtle shadows for an every day to day look and can then glam it up in the evenings. I also sometimes use my Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder for the crease as I find it more warm toned than Tease and I also use my Mary Lou Manizer for a pop of shimmer.

9. Brows

My brows and I have a very love-hate relationship. Due to over-plucking my brows at a very young age they have never fully grown back, not that I was ever lucky enough to have beautifully thick brows, they just seem to grow back in chunks and in places I really don't want them, like just above my eyelid - any of you over-pluckers found yourself in a similar scenario?! For the past year and a half I have been using Bransus Eyebrow Powder which has done the job although I have now hit pan so am currently looking for something new. I have my eyes on HD Brows, Sigma Powder Duo or Anastasia BH Brow Pomade so if any of you beauties have any reviews on any of these please leave them below as it would be much appreciated.

10. Lip Product

Ooooshhhh a very tricky question for a lipstick hoarder like myself. I have far too many different brands that I love for all different reasons. After much deliberation I have come to the conclusion that due to the buttery formula, pigmentation and the beautiful packaging it has to be YSL Rouge Volupté lipsticks. I brought my first one the other week in the shade Opera Rose 29 and I sang its praises, from the rooftops, HERE

I loooved this tag! As you can see I cheated ever so slightly with the amount ;)
Thanks again to Jess for creating this tag and tagging me.
