Clothing Haul | Missguided & New Look

Alright loves! It's that time of year where all the shops are having their Summer sales and being the bargain hunter that I am of course I got a bargain or two or three...

Lets have a look at the New Look garments shall we?
Clothing Haul New Look Missguided August 2014
New Look - £23.99 £8.00
If I'm being totally honest I only added this to my online shopping cart so I could get the next day delivery haha (tight arse) I'm so glad I did though as I love it! Such a beautiful mix of colours and the material is really nice too. I'd wear this as a beach cover up instead of a kimono as it's super long, I'm definitely bringing this along on my next holiday!

New Look - £14.99 £9.99
(Please do excuse the creasing of these shorts) If you follow me on Instagram you'll have already seen me post an OOTD wearing these. Again, I love them! Anytime I see anything tailored I'm drawn to it like a magpie to something shiny. They're a bright pink/coral that can be dressed up or down which is perfect for any occasion. They also fit and flatter your figure really nicely too.

So the other day I looked in my wardrobe and realised I don't own any Midi bodycon skirts, so of course when I saw this it was added without question. You can't see it too well in the photo but it's a ribbed material which I prefer as I find it seems to hide any lumps and bumps much better than say scuba material for example. I love the colour, I don't have much purple clothing (that I can think of right now, I'm sure I do ha) so this is a perfect addition.

New Look - £9.99
I feel like I've lived in camis all Summer! I love that you can pair this with shorts and a kimono for an everyday look or glam it up with a skirt or some tailored trousers. I already have a couple of other colours but thought I'd add white and black as they're 2 staple colours.

Onto the Missguided spend up...
Clothing Haul New Look Missguided August 2014
Missguided £21.99 £10.99
These are like marmite. You'll either love 'em or hate 'em! As soon as I tried these on I wasn't sure as they are very 'out there' but once I had my whole outfit together I really liked them. Like I mentioned previously I'm a sucker for anything tailored, especially a nice pair of trousers so these were a steal! The only bad thing I have to say is due to the material you can see-through the pockets, so a long top is a must. If you were stuck of what to match these trousers with, either of the camis above looks really pretty.

I've had my eyes on this matching co-ordinate for a while now so when I saw it in the sale I was like yessss *fist pump* Around 6 months ago I'd never of had the confidence to wear this but it doesn't show much tummy which is something I've always been worried of when it comes to crop tops and midi skirts. It looks really flattering and gorgeous on. These are both ribbed material so it doesn't show any underwear lines or lumps and bumps!

Missguided £19.99 £9.99
I feel like I should be in Austin Powers with this dress! I have a slight purple theme going on here haven't I? This looks quite sophisticated on and can be dressed up or down. I doubt I'd wear this on a night out, more family parties or even work wear. (That's if I didn't always have to wear a beauty therapist uniform) One thing I have found with this is, is that it seems to sort of flap out at the back? It seems like there's too much material there and isn't as tight as what it should be. Other than that it's beaut.
Clothing Haul New Look Missguided August 2014
 Missguided - £14.99
I have the exact same crop top which I brought from Primark last year for £9.99 which I loved. I think I spent the majority of the Winter wearing this (I do have other clothes, honest) So I thought I should buy another one as that one was getting a little worn out! This is a bigger fit so if you do buy this get a size smaller as it's a little baggy.

Have you brought anything in the sales?

A Little Place Called Dedham

Hey my lovelies, I hope you had a fab bank holiday weekend - it always goes far too quickly for my liking! On Sunday my best friend Lydia and I packed a picnic and took a trip to a lovely little village called Dedham. This is one of my favourite places to visit in the Summer as there is a river here so you can hire out rowing boats, canoes, the whole shebang and explore. You can also sit along the river bank which is the perfect spot for a picnic! I'm sure every time I have a picnic here my luck isn't ever that great. Firstly I dropped my brand spankers iPhone on the floor which smashed all the screen then whilst we were having our food a Dalmatian came bounding out of nowhere, snatched my half eaten sandwich out of my hands then sniffed out the other half which was still in the packet. It was a flying BLT! The exact same thing happened the last time I came here with Lydia so I'm not sure if she's the jinx or I am... Apart from those 2 events we had a great day it was really nice to just chill and have a good ole catch up (or gossip)! There's a gorgeous church in the heart of the village which I always like to have a wander around. We then had a mooch around Dedham Art & Craft Centre - if you ever visit Dedham I highly recommend you have a look in there. From the outside it's an converted church, but once you venture in it's totally not what you expect! It has 3 floors full of quirky, unusual gifts and is decorated beautifully. It also has a tea room which I've not ate in before but have heard it's meant to be delicious!
The remains of the flying BLT!

Have you ever visited Dedham before?
What did you get up to this Bank Holiday?

Pay Day Beauty Wish List

Pay Day Wish List, Beauty Wish List
Hey loves I hope you're all having a wonderful Bank Holiday Weekend.
They say it's a 'millionaires weekend' on that one day of the month everyone looks forward to most - pay day! Now I know that millionaires weekend mainly sums up those who spend all of their wages on alcohol on the Friday and Saturday and are broke by the Sunday, however mine isn't alcohol, it's new beauty goodies and I'm sure most of you are the same (I hope)! I've only done one of these posts on my blog (HERE) so I thought I'd share with you a few things I've been eyeing up of late.

Tom Ford Private Blend Lip Colour | Bruised Plum
Seeing as Autumn is fast approaching (seriously where on earth has August gone?!) I thought it would be appropriate to start looking for a more autumnal lip colour. As soon as I saw this lippy I fell in love. I love the packaging, the colour - everything! I know I'd be applying this far too often than necessary just so I could whip out and show off this little beauty. Such an alluring luxury never comes with an affordable price tag does it? Retailing at £37.00 this would be the most expensive lipstick I've splurged on, although I'm sure I would have talked myself into buying this when pay day arrives being a lipstick hoarder and all..

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
Something I've been lusting over for what feels like an extremely long time! As much as I love my L'Oreal True Match Foundation I feel like this product is the next step up. I've seen many Beauty Vloggers use this in their tutorials and the results look amazing, along with all the reviews. I'll definitely get matched up by a SA so I know I have the correct shade for my skin tone instead of looking at online swatches and attempting to do so myself - I've done this in the past and lets just say it didn't end too well.. The nearest place to me which stocks this is London so it's going to be a bit of a waiting game until I'm next down there.

Mac Mineralise Skinfinish Natural | Light
For a girl who never cared for or used a powder up until a month or two ago, I already want to purchase another one. I know - I'm a changed woman! As I like to highlight my under eye area I feel that using a light powder will make the highlight show up much more than using a translucent powder which I currently have.

Mac Eye Shadow | Cranberry
Again with the autumnal theme. If Autumn/Winter were an eye shadow this would be it, it's perfect! Such a beautiful shimmery purple with a slight hint of pink which flatters all eye colours. I also have my eyes on Woodwinked along with a few other Mac items, I feel a Mac haul on the horizon..

Anastasia Beverley Hill DipBrow Pomade | Blonde
As I've mentioned previously in one of my more recent posts, my brows and I have a very love hate relationship. Due to over plucking them when I was a teen they aren't as thick as I'd like them to be. I've tried powders and pencils but I never seem to be fully satisfied with the outcome. This seems like it could be the answer to all my troubles! Super long lasting with amazing pigment meaning you can change the shape of your brows ever so slightly whilst still looking natural. This will without a doubt be mine by the end of the month and a new HG product I'm sure!

Lorac Pro Palette
The first time I saw this palette was in a blog post review and I was in awe at the beautiful colours. Seriously I was like a child in a sweet shop, (just change it to me staring at a computer screen instead) This palette is very versatile containing every basic you could need with a mixture of matte and shimmer. This would compliment my UD Naked 2 palette beautifully!

Nars Copacabana Illuminator
I used to be a big fan of matte foundations, until I purchased L'Oreal Magic Lumi Primer. I would say that this is more of an illuminator than a make up primer adding a gorgeous dewy finish. As much as I love my Mary Lou Manizer to highlight my cheekbones I'm currently really loving the liquid consistency to mix in with my foundation for more luminosity and a healthy glow. Now that I'm converted I really want to get my mitts on this.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil | Milk
A week or so ago I searched online for 'UD Naked 2 eye make up looks' and one photo in particular looked beautiful and the eye shadows looked really pigmented. I thought to myself how come when I do my eye make up with the exact colours they never look as vibrant? Long story short, the photo I was looking at was in actual fact a YouTube tutorial and she used this beforehand. Now I never would have thought to apply this before my eye shadow as a base to get the most enhanced colour pay off. I know this is common news amongst the beauty community however I've just jumped on the band wagon!

Elemis Frangipani Monoi Body Cream Review

Elemis Frangipani Monoi Body Cream
Elemis Frangipani Monoi Body Cream
Lovers of the Elemis Frangipani Monoi body range, the await is over its finally arrived..

Back in March I blogged about how I had taken obsession to a new level with the sister products of this uh-may-zing range, which are Elemis Frangipani Monoi Body Oil and Frangipani Monoi Salt Glow (HERE) If you haven't smelt this gorgeous product before I highly recommend that if you get the chance to do so then do have a whiff as it fills your senses with a little bit of heaven. Plus I have a good ole feeling I'm going to be rambling on about the fragrance of this product far too often than necessary!

'This luxurious body cream is enriched with exquisite macadamia oil and lipid-rich sesame oil to leave skin deeply hydrated and silky smooth. The unique infusion of exotic Tahitian monoi oil, a blend of tiare flowers soaked in coprah oil, is fragranced with frangipani flowers to leave skin feeling beautifully soft, supple and delicately scented.' - Sounds delicious doesn't it?

This body cream is ultra hydrating and moisturising due to it containing the fabulous ingredients of:

Macadamia Oil which is extremely rich in omegas 3, 6, 7 and oleic acid. This oil has a rich feel and leaves skin deeply nourished and hydrated

Sesame Oil which has a well balanced lipid profile which provides outstanding emollient and skin softening properties

♥ Tahitian Monoi Oil - Gardenia Taitensis flowers are macerated in a rich Coconut Oil to produce this exquisite medium which has amazing nourishing and protecting properties

♥ Frangipani Flowers also known as 'Flowers of the Gods' (see I told you they were heavenly) are infused with the Tahitian Monoi Oil providing a rich, beautifully exotic aroma

I absolutely adore the limited edition packaging of this product; the added detail of the Frangipani flowers give a very classy, elegant look to it whilst still having the red is easy to tell that it belongs to the Frangipani range. Like I said earlier, this really does smell like heaven and I'm not even exaggerating.. Some would say that their favourite scent is freshly cut grass but mine without a doubt is this little beauty (if you can't already tell) I have to say this smells a fair amount stronger and lingers much longer on your body than the body oil which I'm putting this down to the cream consistency, I'm not complaining though the more I smell of Frangipani flowers the better! Normally I much prefer oils to use as a body moisturiser instead of creams and body butters as I'm not a fan of the thicker consistency and how you have to avoid putting your clothes on for as long as possible due to the slow absorption. If I were blindfolded and had this applied to one arm and the body oil to the other you honestly wouldn't be able to tell the difference as this gets slurped up straight away. This is super lightweight and has that truly luxurious high end spa-like feel to it when you're applying. I always apply this to freshly cleansed skin as that's the best time to use any moisturiser as the product is able to trap some of the water still on your body and use it to hydrate your skin, whilst also being able to penetrate much, much deeper. Within the first week of using this I could already see and feel the improvement of the dry texture my skin always tends to have, a month down the line and my skin feels extremely supple and smooth. I've also found that my fake tan is lasting much longer and is also a lot easier to remove due to my skin being so moisturised. Along with all Elemis products you only need a smidge and I know that this will last me a wonderful amount of time.

I honestly could not recommend this amazing product anymore to you - you need this in your lives! I for one have fallen in love with the frangipani range all over again.

Have you tried any of Elemis' Frangipani Monoi products?
What's your favourite body moisturiser?

Random Rambles - Monday

Random Rambles | Vanityfairest-x

Hi loves! I wanted to do more of a lifestyle post on my blog where I can ramble until my heart's content. I've seen posts very similar to this and I've really enjoyed reading them. This will generally be me updating you of my life whenever I feel I may have something slightly interesting to ramble about! This won't have a set day so the title will always be 'Random Rambles - ' followed by the day. This is something different to my normal beauty related posts, so I'd love to know your thoughts :)

Last night I went to see The Inbetweeners 2 with Matt, my best friend Lydia and her boyfriend Steve - double dates at its finest! This really is such a hilarious film, much better than the first with real belly laughter. If you haven't yet seen it, I'd highly recommend.

♥ A couple of weeks ago Matt surprised me with a DSLR. It's something I've wanted for a very long time so I was completely over the moon! I love blogging even more, not that I thought it could have been possible, now that I have much better quality photos along with a 'proper bloggers' piece of equipment.

♥ Last weekend I had a slight accident which resulted in me face planting the floor bringing a glass coffee table, a chair and a telephone along with me. My self-inflicted war wounds were a bruised forehead, a swollen nose with a big bump and an extremely sore headache. This was last Saturday and it's now 9 days later and I still have the swelling along with the headache which no tablets are seeming to shift! I'm praying I haven't fractured my nose which could possibly be the cause, if any of you have experienced anything similar any advice would be very much appreciated. Oh how alcohol and I will never be friends, I try to rekindle our friendship every 6 months or so but alas, we just aren't meant to be..

♥ This afternoon I received a big parcel from Missguided, one of the best feelings knowing you have that big package full of clothes on the way to you isn't it?! I got some gorgeous garments, I even got quite a few nice items in the sale they currently have. All I need to do now is to book a holiday for when Matt and I have a week off in September to wear all of these beautiful clothes! I always tend to find with Missguided that I never keep everything I buy, the sizing isn't always true to fit and the material quality can be a little iffy. Plus it never looks as amazing on me as it does on the model, oh to have a wash board stomach and be 5"9...

The 2 nights we were here we stayed in the gorgeous No Ten Manchester Street Boutique Hotel in Marylebone. The room 410 we had was lovely and the location was absolutely perfect as it was a 5 minute walk from Selfridges, so of course a lot of shopping was done and our bank accounts took a good beating!
