Sigma Brushes | Jaclyn Hill Beauty Expert Box

Sigma Jaclyn Hill Beauty Expert Box
Hey darls, any of you who watch the amazingly talented Jaclyn Hill on YouTube would have heard about her collaboration with Sigma Beauty to produce a box containing her 7 favourite, essential make up brushes. If you aren't familiar with Sigma Beauty, they are an American brand founded in 2008 and they produce a wonderful line of vegan brushes alongside other make up goodies. They are a marvellous and cheaper alternative dupe to MAC make up brushes. The quality of these brushes are superb! They are all densely packed with a soft, satin feel to them which give a fabulously flawless final finish. I love the overall professional classy look to these, the handle is also of good quality feeling nice and sturdy with a slight weight. The delivery was extremely quick as these were shipped over from America and I received them within a week and a half of payment confirmation.

This box set was originally released at the beginning of March and the whole months supply was sold out within 3 days! It was then relaunched again around the 3rd week into April (it was an extremely hard and boring waiting game I must say!) and is available til Wednesday 30th of April, if it doesn't get sold out before then, so if you fancy treating yourself to this wonderful set click here to purchase yours for $90.00 (£63.00)
*this does not include delivery or international shipping costs*
I've taken pictures with a description of each brush in case you don't want to have a splurge and would like to purchase a couple to add to your make up collection :)
Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki Brush
Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki Brush
This is my favourite of all the brushes of the set! It's the F80 Flat Kabuki Brush with densely packed synthetic fibres all of the same length. This gives you a flawless finish whether you want to opt for a sheer or full coverage, looks really natural and doesn't give that cakey or patchy finished look to it. This feels like heaven when applying as it's super soft, all of the brushes in this set are, sorry to my Nars Ita Brush they're even more softer than you! Sometimes we can get a little confused with the difference between synthetic and natural hair fibres; basically with synthetic it's going to take all the product and apply all of it onto your skin and not soak it up whereas natural hair fibres would. Imagine putting a product onto your hair it's going to absorb it all - natural hair fibres do the very same. I apply my foundation with this brush by firstly pressing all of the product onto my skin then buff it all together.

I've seen Jaclyn use this plenty of times to blend out her concealer so of course I use this to blend out my concealer (Mean Girl army pants and flip flops moment haha) Although this is much larger compared to most designs of concealer brushes available this blends it out beautifully with quickness and ease. Due to it's coned-like shape this is really good to contour with cream products too.
Sigma F35 Tapered Highlighter

I love the shape and application of this brush! I use this to highlight my cheekbones, nose and just above my brows with my Mary Lou Manizer. The reason I like this so much is because it gives a subtle, natural finish and doesn't pick up too much product which makes you look like you've gone into shimmer overload. I also use this brush to set my under eye concealer.
Sigma E55 Eye Shading Brush

This brush is perfect for an even application of colour across your entire eyelid. Whether it be matte, shimmer or glitter the densely packed bristles picks up great pigmentation. This is also perfect to highlight just underneath your brow bone.
Sigma E30 Pencil Brush

I use this pencil brush to highlight the inner corner of my eyes and to smoke out liner/eyeshadow along the top and bottom of my lash line. This is great to make more of an intense look along your crease or outer v.
Sigma E25 Blending Brush

This is ideal to blend colours together onto the lid with perfect precision and control. It fabulously buffs out any harsh lines for a well-blended effect.

The final brush to the masterpiece! I use this to blend everything together for a stunning smoked out look, this is essential for everyone's make up bag.

As an extra gift Sigma also sent me a travel sized E05 Eyeliner Brush with a gorgeous pink handle, so of course it being pink made me love it even more! Overall I'm extremely happy with this box set and I love all the brushes, they were well worth the wait!

  3. We'll have to check these out. DO you know whether Sigma ships to Australia? We'd love to try the tapered brush out, it really does look like it would be a good one for concealing under the eyes

    1. I'm pretty sure they do! I love the tapered brush it blends out your concealer heaps better than a smaller brush or your fingers - it gives a better looking finish too :) xxx

  4. Sigma is my all time favourite makeup brush brand! I've got their Essential kit, then I bought the F80 and E25 separately afterwards, and I'm in love! Now I'm looking into the Kabuki range, and the Small Contour brush. They're on the pricey side, though, and it's hard to justify spending so much on brushes when I've got a pretty decent collection already!
