Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Liner - Nude

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Liner Nude

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Liner Nude

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Liner Nude
I'm never one for eyeliner - a lot of mascara & that's my eyes done! I saw the beautiful Carli Bybel use this in one of her recent videos, the difference it made was huge! It's kind of 'your eyes but better'. It's a very fleshy colour (hence it being called Nude) & I personally think this is much more flattering to your eyes than white/black eyeliner. Unfortunately I can't show a photo of this on my eyes as I have a unknown infection where I can't wear contact lenses or mascara for a while until we find out what it is. (Sucks massively!) Although I did do a sneaky swipe & I'm LOVING it - I can't wait to wear it properly!

It's as cheap as chips & retails here for a bargainous price of £3.99

What's your favourite colour eyeliner?

JadoreLexieCouture Flower Crown

I love this beautiful flower crown! I'm always on the lookout for different hair accessories to give your entire look a somewhat unique feel to it. I saw this on Shaaanxo a few months ago, fell in love & hunted it down til I found it. It was on Etsy by a brand called JadoreLexieCouture at a bargainous price of £8.45. It's handmade from Dried Mulberry Flowers, Felt, Ribbon & is made to order. It's not flimsy at all & I love how the ribbon lets you fit it around the size of your bun. I got this as a Christmas present & it was ordered a few weeks before, I couldn't tell you exactly when it arrived as it was from my parents but I had it to open on Christmas Day. It's shipped over from Virginia USA so I would say that was a pretty speedy delivery wouldn't you? It comes in a variety of colours, I opted for Ivory. I've had so many compliments when wearing this, it really is so gorgeous - it dresses up your classic bun fabulously!
Such a great buy & I would highly recommend purchasing one.

Do you have any similar hair accessories?

Another Lipstick To The Collection

In the words of Jaclyn Hill 'I feel like everyone & their Mom has this product'

I finally have it!
I brought this beautiful lippie not long after Christmas as I finally decided to brave away from my pinks & try a darker more Wintery colour. I attempted purchasing this online only to see that both Boots & Superdrug were sold out, which of course made me want it even more. I got so obsessed with the idea of having this lipstick that I noticed it seemed to pop up in my life a lot more than usual - beauty blogs, YouTube, selfies, I even noticed it on people walking past in the street! When you're much more aware of something you tend to notice it so much more - always the way wouldn't you agree? Anyhoo after having my weekly snoop in my local Superdrug I finally found it after months of trying to track it down - I was over the moon! It's quite sad really that I get this kind of high from buying lipsticks isn't it? Haha
It's one of the fantastic lasting finish matte lipsticks from Rimmel's Kate Moss collection in the shade 107. I love the outside & the inside of this beautiful little red tube! I also like how it stands out amongst my collection of dark packaged lippies. (Sorry Mac) When I first put it on I wasn't entirely sure as it's totally out of my comfort zone, but after I kept it on for a while then looked again I adored it! The colour is beautiful. It's a deep wine/plum colour leaning slightly toward a cool tone - it's quite vampy & bold but not overly so. The formula & staying power is excellent, which of course you would expect from a matte product anyway & it slides on flawlessly with somewhat of a lovely velvet-like feel. The best part? It's not drying at all! The more you layer this lipstick the darker the shade you'll achieve, which is excellent for some days where you don't want an overly dramatic lip & just fancy a nice lip stain! I've found that this lipstick looks fabulous on all different skin tones - when I've faked tanned & when I'm pale it compliments both. Fellow pale ladies do not put off by this deep shade! It also looks different some days too (if that's possible?) sometimes it looks more plumy i.e the photo of me & others more red i.e the swatch although these photos really doesn't do this beautiful colour the justice it deserves.
This lipstick definitely gets 2 thumbs & 2 toes up from me! This is everything I wanted for an Autumn/Winter lippie. The shade is superb, formula is fantastic & it's the perfect price for your purse!
Have you tried this lipstick?
What's your perfect Winter lip shade?

I woke up this morning to see that fabulous little email from Bloglovin' to inform me that I've reached 250 FOLLOWERS! Talk about perfect weekend?! I know to some bloggers this may seem like a miniscule amount to reach but it really means so much to me. I never made this blog with the intention of having loads of followers, it was literally a hobby for me to write about products that float my boat & my opinions. The fact that I have 250 people following my blog & are interested in what I have to write is just amazing! Making my blog is one of the best things I've done as you're all so blooming lovely & supportive!

Thank you so soo sooo much

Love to you all
P.s In question to the smiling cat - this was very much how my face looked I saw that email this morning. I also thought it was extremely cute!

Are make up wipes bad for your skin?

Happy Friday loves!
Woohoo the weekend starts at 5pm
(well for most of us anyway)

Recently I posted a 'What's In My Travel Bag' here. Some of you seemed interested in the products I use, so I thought I'd do a few posts of why you should be using certain products, how they will benefit you & my recommendations.

I'd like to start off this 'series' if you like, by sharing with you all my views on Make up / Cleansing Wipes & how they really aren't your best friend, in fact they're the opposite.

Make up wipes are by far one of the most unbeneficial products you can use in your skincare regime. These heavy chemical wipes may remove the surface layer of makeup but they won't cleanse or remove anything else. Think of all the things you come into contact with on an everyday basis - make up, bacteria, dirt, pollution & oil. Without using a product which actually deep cleans your skin, this can lead to congestion, acne flare ups and over a period of time will cause fine lines.  Some brands are also quite harsh to the skin, especially sensitive and can also be very drying causing unwanted side effects. Ever noticed when you use these to remove your mascara your eyes go red & stingy?

If that isn't enough to put you off then how about this - the wipes can be sitting on the shop floor for up 18 months in all heat conditions, which is a huge breeding ground for bacteria! Once I heard this I never touched them again.

Admittedly I can see the attraction to these due to quickness, but I can do my whole cleansing routine in under 2 minutes! (Yes I timed myself..)

I've also noticed a huge improvement in my skin after binning these & getting myself a decent cleansing product :)

Remember every part of your skincare regime is a part to a clear, glowing complexion so who wants to be investing in a good quality moisturiser & foundation, then use these? Not you.

What do you use to remove your make up & cleanse your face?
Have I changed your thoughts on make up wipes?

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - What's the fuss about?

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

I've read & heard so many amazing things about this foundation over the last couple of years, so when I ran out of my L'Oreal True Match Foundation I was really excited to try this one.

Rimmel claims that this has an Anti-Fatigue effect & gives a Radiant glow which really intrigued me as lets face it, we all want to wake up in the morning & have a product which is going to make us look fabulous in a matter of minutes! It contains illuminating radiance pearls which helps to give you that beautiful glow - as soon as I see the word Radiance on the packaging I'm sold. I brought the shade 100 Ivory as I thought this would be ideal on the days when I generally couldn't be bothered to fake tan the night before as I have a different foundation for when I'm a shade or 2 darker.

It's glass packaging with a pump & a bright orange lid. I have read a few comments saying that the appearance of this foundation is tacky due to the orangeness, it doesn't bother me in the slightest as I think it stands out amoungst other foundations & it's actually easier to find in your make up bag!

My first opinion on this product was that the consistency is fairly thicker than my L'Oreal True Match which I'm not overly keen on but it does have a nice scent to it. I've tried to apply this with my Real Techniques Stippling Brush, although I have found I get a much better finish when applied with my fingers - this isn't really ideal as foundation fingers are not the one, you also get a beautiful unblended ring around your hairline! It gives a light to medium coverage, definitely not full unless you fancy having a cake face. If you look extremely close it does have a slight shimmer to it, but once you've applied it to your face it gives you a nice dewy look - don't worry you won't look like a glittery disco ball. If you do have very oily skin though I wouldn't recommend this for you as it will make you look like you've just ran a marathon!

Rimmel also claims that this can last up to 10 hours. My first attempt of wearing this foundation I noticed that after a couple of hours when I looked in the mirror, my skin looked really oily & patchy - I've got normal skin & have never had an issue regarding any face products so I wasn't very impressed! I've persevered with this a few times after but sadly the same thing has happened time & time again.
10 hours staying power? I think not.

All in all I'm definitely not a lover of this foundation. I'm really disappointed as I thought this was going to be amazing due to the hype it's received. I don't know if it's the shade I've brought or the fact that I'm using this in the Winter & Summer time would possibly be better? Maybe my expectations were too high?

Have any of you tried this foundation?
What are your thoughts?

21st Birthday Shenanigans

As some of you may know it was my Birthday last Sunday due to my OOTN post here. I got extremely spoiled so I wanted to share with you all what I got up to on the weekend, some wonderful gifts & my delicious cakes!

I'd just like to give you the heads up that there are heaps of photos on their way..

Apologies for the poor quality content of these photos, can you believe these photos were taken at 4pm & it was pitch black outside!

How amazing are my cakes?!

The double chocolate cake was from my parents made from Patisserie Valerie, oh my Lord this could quite possibly be the best thing to touch my taste buds!

The second cake was from my work, how cute is the China Glaze polish?! It's made from a lovely lady who lives locally to me, she bakes all of our special occasion cakes for us. They taste as wonderful as they look which is a rare find! If any of you are interested in having a cake made from her let me know & I can hook you up! (She can literally make anything you desire)

Not going to lie - it did break my heart a little having to cut these beauties!

The photos above are from my exceptionally generous best friends, work colleagues & Boss! Last year at my previous work place I was lucky if I even got a 'Happy Birthday' let alone have my desk filled with balloons, gifts & a spectacular cake.

The ClaireABella bag & camcorder are from my best friend  & work colleagues - Sophie, Janda, Holly, Naomi & Alex if any of you are reading this thank you sooo much! I know I've said it a ton of times already but I LOVE them! How sweet of them to get me a camcorder as they know I want to start a YouTube channel in the future. The Swarovski earrings (which are beauuutiful), champers & flowers are from Julie & Michael who are my boss :)

The Ted Baker purse is from my other best friend Lydia, again if you're reading this thank you thank you thank you - most thoughtful, lovely girl ever!
(She know's how much I love my Ted)

My parents brought me some fabulous Chanel glasses which I have been drooling over for ages & X Factor tickets which I'm really excited to go & see next month! My Brother, of course left it to the last minute (typical man) to get me anything so I had to order my pressie which is a beautiful ring - only to then be told it was out of stock due to Valentines Day being so close. I have to wait 3 weeks for it to arrive, which is okay as I can make my Birthday drag out that little bit longer ;)

You know when you get sooo excited opening something your hands start shaking? Yep this definitely happened when I opened these!

Front row seats - yeaaah baby! ;)
Matt took me to London for the weekend we had such a fantastic time. We stayed at The Regency Hotel in South Kensington - beautiful hotel & area! For dinner we went to China Town as Matt had never been before, we had the best Chinese I've ever tasted in a lovely restaurant called Gerrard's Corner. Then of course we went & saw Les Miserables
(I'm sure you're all getting fed up with all my tweets about it haha)

Queenie lives here!
 M&M World - heaven
Of course a trip to the Disney Store.

I know this comes across that I'm a spoiled brat, but I was/am ever so thankful & grateful, I do realise how much of a lucky lady I am.

You only turn 21 once after all..

Have you been to any of the places I visitied?
What did you get up to over the weekend?

Valentines Day Nail Art

Valentines Day Nail Art

Happy Valentines Day lovers!

Earlier I was treated to the pleasure of having my nails done by the Nail Queen, also known as my bestest Sophie. How gorgeous are they?! Of course they are China Glaze Pro Gel as you all know I wouldn't ever use anything else!

I thought they looked really pretty & perfect for the theme of love so I wanted to share them with you all :)

Whatever you're doing this evening, whether it be taken out on a date, going out with the girls/boys or simply at home having a pamper sesh - I hope you all have a fabulous time!

The Band Blake

The other evening the company I work for (hence the beauty therapist uniforms) sponsored an event at the local theatre, it was to see a band called Blake. I had heard of them a few times before but never their music, why I hadn't before is beyond me. They are incredible! They are a mix of eclectic classical & pop songs with rich harmony vocals, they sing a complete range of songs from Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars to Giacomo Puccini - Nessun Dorma. The whole time I was sitting there in complete awe, they gave me goosebumps! (You know that it's the real deal when this happens) I would even go as far as saying that their singing is the best thing to ever pass through my little ears - they really were breath-taking! They have a wonderful presence surrounding them. Blake are not only attractive, astounding singers, with a great sense of humour but they spend a huge amount of their time supporting several charities - Help For Heroes, The British Legion & MIND to name a few. It's always that much more enjoyable when you know it's going towards a charity that's close to your heart isn't it? The only thing that I wasn't very impressed with, was that they didn't serenade me! ;)

Now I rarely get excited over singers/bands (except Beyonce of course) & it does take something pretty special for me to rave about it - I've just done a blog post on these lovely chaps so that's saying something huh? If you think classical music isn't 'your thing' just have a listen as Blake will probably change your opinion, very much like mine & I'm now a huge fan!

Please go & check these out as they really are spectacular
(if you hadn't already gathered that)

Have you ever heard any of Blake's music?
What's your favourite kind of music?
